Core aeration is the process of making thousands of small holes in the turf of your yard. This process allows fertilizer, water, and air to reach the root system quicker, resulting in new growth and increased root development it also can help reduce thatch buildup.

 

The reduced compaction also allows grass roots to grow deeper and stronger. Deeper roots are less susceptible to damage caused by frost, wind chill, and summer heat.
